Wicked Water is the story of one young family during the tragic 1999 hurricane season, when underestimating Nature proved to be a mistake.
At home in Kinston, NC, Mom and Dad Lowe should have listened to 8 year-old Paisley and her 11 year-old brother, Davis. Instead they left their pet dogs and cats behind, and went on a trip, only to be stranded in floodwater, far from home.
Along comes 10 year-old Mitchell (Mouse) Cooper, a stowaway in the big blue rescue truck from the American Humane Association. What all of these kids do, with the help of the amazing AHA crew, combines in a heart-warming, poignant, and humorous story.
Ages 7 and up.
